Thinking about betting on a Craps System? Read this first.
Are you considering spending money on a Craps betting system or testing out that "guaranteed to win" strategy at the casino? Before you gamble your hard-earned money, take a moment to thoroughly test it first.
As a passionate gambler and a computer programmer, I've been down the road of believing in the perfect system. A few years ago, I developed my own Craps strategy, convinced it couldn't lose. I even rolled the dice two hundred times to prove its effectiveness. The first couple of times I tried my "can't lose" system in a casino, I won a few bucks.
At that point, I was so confident that I nearly sold everything, ready to bet my life savings on the next trip to Vegas. I dreamed of quitting my day job and becoming a "Professional Gambler." I even had business cards printed with that title.
But my system had one flaw: it made money slowly, a grind I wasn't satisfied with. So, I wrote a computer program to test variations of my system, hoping to speed up the process. That's when I discovered the truth: over time, my "perfect" system would always lose.
I checked my code over and over, convinced there must be a bug. But the numbers were clear—there was no flaw in the program. Stubbornly, I believed that in the real world, my system would still work; I just needed to bet more. But deep down, the programmer in me knew the numbers were telling the real story.
I did go back to Vegas with a larger bankroll, only to lose most of it. As I cashed out, visibly depressed, the cashier tried to cheer me up by saying, "At least you had fun." I regrettably responded, "No one has fun losing hard-earned money; that's just a slogan Vegas invented to get losers to come back." Feeling bad, I apologized and slid her a small tip. She had probably seen that same sorry look a thousand times. I hope she found a better job.
I still want to find the betting system that is "Guaranteed to win every time," but the skeptic in me knows it's like chasing a unicorn. Even if we can't find that elusive perfect strategy, it's worth testing them to figure out which ones are better.
I know from experience that using the optimal strategy in Blackjack helps me win more often. But Craps is a more complex game, with so many ways to bet and many bets that don’t resolve in a single roll. If you also include money management systems it gets really hard to perfect a system without losing a lot of money.
Send me your Craps strategies, and I'll analyze them for you. Together, let's figure out the best approach to win money from the casino and, more importantly, to lose less.
